# Wolves: Fans react to Patrick Cutrone transfer update

**Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Patrick Cutrone is wanted by two European clubs, according to Sky Sports (via [Goal](https://www.goal.com/en/news/live/transfer-news-and-rumours-live/1wf0r5qckcvh810t3bnr4bvlbz)).**

The report named La Liga outfit Villarreal, who are looking into the [possibility of a loan move](https://twitter.com/TalkingWolves/status/1419389112356851713), and Serie A club Sampdoria as potential suitors.

Cutrone has already had [two loan spells](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/patrick-cutrone/transfers/spieler/265078) away from Molineux, going to Fiorentina in January 2020 and Valencia in the early months of this year.

### Cutrone’s Wolves struggles

The Midlands club shelled out £16m to sign the striker from AC Milan back in 2016 after he scored 27 goals in 90 appearances for the Rossoneri (via [BBC Sport](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49169634)). However, he has only [netted three times in 28 outings](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/patrick-cutrone/leistungsdaten/spieler/265078) for Wolves in all competitions.

Now into the final two years of his contract at Molineux, Cutrone’s estimated value has fallen to £8.1m (via [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/patrick-cutrone/profil/spieler/265078)).

The 23-year-old has at least managed to get on the scoresheet in pre-season, bagging a late winner in a recent victory over Real Betis, but that hasn’t cut much ice judging by the responses to reports of another loan exit for the Italian.

Fan feed [Talking Wolves](https://twitter.com/TalkingWolves/status/1419389112356851713) relayed the update, and here’s what some supporters made of it. One fan drew unflattering comparisons with Lucas Piazon, who was [loaned out seven times](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/lucas-piazon/transfers/spieler/176485) by Chelsea (for whom he made [three senior appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/lucas-piazon/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/176485)) before finally leaving for good in January of this year.
