# Wolves: Fans slam Joao Moutinho following Burnley defeat

**[Plenty of Wolverhampton Wanderers](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league/wolves/) fans criticised midfielder Joao [Moutinho](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/wolves-news/fans-slam-joao-moutinho-fulham/) following his side’s [2-1](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55297952) defeat to Burnley on Monday night.**

The 34-year-old featured alongside Ruben Neves in Nuno Espirito Santo’s starting line-up but his team failed to move into the top 10 of the Premier League table.

As per [Fotmob](https://www.fotmob.com/livescores/3411480/lineup/burnley-vs-wolverhampton-wanderers), Moutinho only made one key pass, only completed one tackle and won just one aerial duel as Wolves lost at Turf Moor.

Wolves now have a difficult [pair of fixtures](https://www.fotmob.com/teams/8602/overview/wolverhampton-wanderers) on the horizon, with a home game against Tottenham Hotspur up next, followed by a trip to Old Trafford to play Manchester United.

With all this in mind, supporters were disappointed with Moutinho, with one fan believing that he has turned into Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka.
