# Wolves: Fans unhappy as Adama Traore set to stay until the summer

**A number of Wolves supporters are frustrated after Bruno Lage claimed Adama Traore would stay put at the club beyond the [January transfer window](https://www.givemesport.com/1754870-january-transfer-window-2022-when-does-it-open-when-does-it-close-and-which-players-are-going-to-move).**

Traore has had a curious Wanderers career in many ways, sometimes threatening to produce brilliance but too often flattering to deceive.

At 25, the hope was that the winger would have pushed on by now, becoming a more complete all-round player, but he is [yet to register a goal or an assist](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/140088/Show/Adama-Traor%C3%A9) this season.

Traore has been constantly [linked](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-transfer-rumours/tottenham-hotspur-matt-law-the-telegraph-adama-traore-transfer-update-latest-news-thfc-updates/) with a move away from Molineux this month, with Tottenham seemingly emerging as the [front-runners](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/17276989/tottenham-transfer-adama-traore-kane-backup/) to sign him.

Lage has played down the exit rumours, however, according to [*The Express & Star*](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/wolverhampton-wanderers-fc/2022/01/14/wolves-boss-bruno-lage-keen-to-keep-adama-traore/)‘s Liam Keen \[via [*Talking Wolves*](https://twitter.com/TalkingWolves/status/1481985775428423684?s=20) on Twitter\], saying he expects the Spaniard to be a Wolves player for the rest of the season.
