# Wolves: Fans unimpressed with Willy Boly

**A number of Wolves fans have slammed Willy Boly for his performance against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.**

Nuno Espirito Santo was taking charge of [his final game as manager](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11699/12312903/nuno-espirito-santo-to-leave-wolves-four-years-that-brought-magic-moments-but-now-feels-a-natural-end) at Molineux and made [three changes](https://twitter.com/Wolves/status/1396465931572981766) to the side which lost 1-0 to Everton on Wednesday evening, with Rui Patricio, Romain Saiss and Leander Dendoncker coming in for John Ruddy, Max Kilman and Morgan Gibbs-White respectively.

Wolves would guarantee a [12th place finish with a win](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) over the Red Devils but could also finish as [low as 15th](https://www.premierleague.com/tables), should results go against them. However, it was Boly‘s performance which had a number of Wolves fans talking on social media, and not for the right reasons.

The defender was making his [21st](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/willy-boly/leistungsdaten/spieler/142310) start of the Premier League campaign and [23rd](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/willy-boly/leistungsdaten/spieler/142310) appearance in all competitions. The 30-year-old was [playing alongside Saiss and Conor Coday](https://www.sofascore.com/manchester-united-wolverhampton/dsK) but struggled to deal with a [much-changed](https://www.skysports.com/football/wolves-vs-man-utd/429216) United lineup on home soil, [losing out on a number of duels](https://www.sofascore.com/manchester-united-wolverhampton/dsK) against the visitors.

Anthony Elanga gave United an early lead at Molineux, with [some taking aim at Boly’s efforts](https://twitter.com/Ste_jl/status/1396484933137408001) in the build-up to that goal, before his defensive colleague Nelson Semedo pulled Wolves level on 39 minutes.
