Lots of Wolves fans have been left raging as some comments from Bruno Lage have emerged.

When asked if he is thinking about changing to a back four against Southampton in his pre-game press conference, the Portuguese manager said (via Liam Keen): "Yes. Of course. I started with that. But at the moment I believe we are stronger with 5."

The Midlands club have lost two and drawn one of their last four games in total over all competitions (Wolves), and so a change in formation to a back four could benefit the team.

However, with the news that both Rayan Ait-Nouri and Yerson Mosquera will now miss the match with injury, on top of Jonny Otto also being out, Lage does not have many defensive options to work with.

He was not backed too much in the transfer market to bring in the players that he needed for his squad, as the Molineux faithful actually had a positive net spend, and now it looks like it has come to bite Lage as he cannot implement the tactics that he wants.

Wolves fans on Lage comments

These WWFC supporters raged as the comments were shared on Twitter:

"Even though we’ve been sliced open for fun the last 2 games? As each day passes the more I’m beginning to understand why he didn’t get a job after Benfica. Bloke seems out of his depth managerially."

"And why again is it we're stronger with 5? Can't possibly be because our defenders, of whom none of which can be improved upon by any affordable defender in the world, aren't good enough.."
