The Daily Mail journalist Mike Keegan has revealed that Connor Ronan 'can leave' Wolves in the January transfer window amid more interest.

The Lowdown: Lack of game time

Ronan has simply not seen enough game time at Molineux, with just 15 senior appearances made since the 2016/17 season, and only two matches played so far this term (Transfermarkt).

The 24-year-old has been sent out on loan six times, and has never been able to get a consistent run of games together.

The Latest: Ronan 'can leave'

Taking to Twitter, Keegan has revealed that Championship clubs Huddersfield Town, Cardiff City and Coventry City have joined Scottish Premiership sides Aberdeen and Hibernian in the race to sign Conan in January, and the central midfielder has been told that he 'can leave' Julen Lopetegui's team:

"Bit of early transfer news: Huddersfield, Cardiff and Coventry have joined Aberdeen and Hibs in the chase for Wolves’ midfielder Connor Ronan. Player can leave Molineux in January."

The Verdict: For the best

At 24 years of age, Ronan needs to be playing regular football, and it is clear that he will not get that if he stays with the Old Gold.

St. Mirren manager Stephen Robinson hailed the Englishman as a 'truly excellent' player, a 'very good trainer' and a 'manager's dream' after he was on loan at the Scottish club last term, and so it is not a surprise to see so many clubs interested in his signature.

Nonetheless, Wolves have plenty of cover in the middle of the park already, and so Ronan will not be greatly missed.
