Many Wolves fans praised midfielder Ruben Neves after he made an astonishing admission following his side's 2-1 victory against Arsenal on Tuesday night.

Speaking to WolvesTV (cited by Jacqui Oatley), the 23-year-old said that he missed the birth of his third child on Saturday, stating that he had to watch it on his phone on the way back from Crystal Palace.

He added that he hasn't seen his family for a long time due to the pandemic, but simply added "it's my job", in an incredibly humbling statement.

Neves has been a regular feature in Nuno Espirito Santo's side since his £16.1m move from FC Porto in 2017, and has gone on to score 18 goals and provide nine assists in 160 appearances, with two and a half years left on his contract (TransferMarkt),

Unsurprisingly, this news earned the respect of the majority of the supporters and some of them heaped praise on him for his recent displays and his commitment to the cause.
