AS Roma have shortlisted Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Jonny Castro Otto as a potential transfer target, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.
The Serie A outfit are looking to recruit a left-sided player after Leonardo Spinazzola suffered an Achilles tendon rupture at the European Championships.
Jonny eyed despite ACL woes
Jonny has been identified as one of the options, with Wolves’ permanent signing of Rayan Ait-Nouri boosting Roma’s confidence that the deal is feasible.
However, there are ‘doubts’ over whether the Spaniard will make a full recovery after suffering a second ACL injury in the same knee as his first (via The Athletic).
The report states that Roma have also looked at Manchester United’s Alex Telles but seen their loan-to-buy offer rejected.
Jose Mourinho’s side have already lured a player from Molineux this summer, snapping up goalkeeper Rui Patricio in a £9.8million deal.
Fan feed Talking Wolves relayed Calciomercato’s claims, and here’s what supporters made of them.
