Wolves: Fans urge club not to sell Rafa Mir

Wolves: Fans urge club not to sell Rafa Mir - Wolves News

Wolves striker Rafa Mir is attracting plenty of interest ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to Marca, Mir has offers from Premier League clubs and some of the top sides in Spain, including Atletico Madrid.

He could even feature for Spain at the upcoming European Championships, with Luis Enrique impressed.

Mir’s transformation in Spain

Mir has only made four appearances for Wolves and has yet to score a goal in English football, having spent the first half of the 2019/20 campaign on loan at Nottingham Forest.

But his temporary switch to La Liga strugglers Huesca has surpassed all expectations. The 23-year-old has scored 15 goals in all competitions this season. His tally of 12 in the league betters that of FC Barcelona’s Antoine Griezmann, among others.

Wolves, meanwhile, have been short on firepower since Raul Jimenez sustained a fractured skull in November. The inexperienced Fabio Silva has contributed only three goals, while January loan signing Willian Jose has yet to find the net.

Fan feed Talking Wolves relayed Marca’s report, and here’s how supporters reacted.
