Adama Traore could start for Wolves in their Premier League clash with Aston Villa this weekend, according to journalist Luke Hatfield.

The Lowdown: Wolves head to Villa

Bruno Lage's side are back in action on Saturday afternoon, following the latest international break.

Wolves make the trip to Villa Park for an eagerly-anticipated clash, looking to build on consecutive league victories against Southampton and Newcastle United.

The Latest: Traore tipped to start

It remains to be seen who will make it into Lage's starting lineup for the game, but someone who thinks Traore could start is The Express & Star's Hatfield.

Speaking to Give Me Sport, he talked up the Spaniard's chance of featuring prominently against Villa:

"It wouldn't surprise me at all to see Adama Traore starting.

"Of course, Villa know what he's all about. They've seen him first hand although a lot of the coaching staff and players won't have been there when he was there."

The Verdict: Game-changing player

Traore didn't start in either of the wins over Saints and Newcastle, so it is logical to keep him on the substitutes' bench again this weekend.

The 25-year-old may not always be the most consistent player in terms of end product - he hasn't scored or assisted in the league yet this season - but his frightening pace can be a potent weapon when legs are tiring.

Introducing Traore in the second half on Saturday could be the more effective option, despite Hatfield's prediction, as Wolves look to make it three wins on the bounce.
