Former Olympiakos manager Pedro Martins is now 'not under serious consideration' to be Wolves' new boss, according to reliable journalist John Percy.
The Lowdown: Lage sacked by Wolves
Following Saturday's limp 2-0 defeat away to West Ham in the Premier League, Lage was sacked as Wanderers manager the following day.
Since then, Wolves have been on the lookout for a new boss, with a number of names thrown into the hat, including Julen Lopetegui and Ange Postecoglou.
Martins had also been seen as a possible successor to Lage but a twist in that tale has emerged almost immediately after it began.
The Latest: Early twist
The Daily Mail reported on Monday that the 52 year-old was a 'frontrunner' for the gig.
Taking to Twitter on Monday evening however, The Telegraph's Percy reported that the free agent is actually not even in contention to take charge at Molineux:
"Pedro Martins not under serious consideration at this stage."

The Verdict: Better options out there?
Martins, who usually opts for a 4-2-3-1 system, is a good manager in his own right, mustering an incredible 2.13 points per game in his last role at Olympiakos.
However, he also lacks the top-level pedigree to be seen as a genuinely exciting appointment by Wolves, having never taken charge in one of Europe's elite leagues.

The Portuguese did win three league titles in a row with Olympiakos, in fairness, but he has yet to shine on the big stage, only ever being based in his homeland or Greece.
Someone like Lopetegui is a more proven option, for example, having managed both Spain and Real Madrid, not to mention winning the Europa League with Sevilla in 2020.
