Rumoured Wolves transfer target Craig Dawson wants to leave West Ham when the January window arrives, according to a fresh update.

The Lowdown: Dawson wanted by Wolves

Throughout the summer, Wanderers were strongly linked with a move for the 32-year-old but he remained with the Hammers, despite a deal even being agreed at one point.

Dawson has really struggled to nail down a regular berth in David Moyes' team this season, however, only starting twice in the Premier League.

Now, it looks as though Wolves may have been given fresh hope in their quest to sign the defender.

The Latest: January exit on the cards?

According to Football Insider, Dawson is looking to leave West Ham in the January transfer window, such is his lack of playing time at the east London club.

He is 'still keen to head north' after not getting his move in the summer, which suggests Wolves could certainly be an option once again.

The Verdict: Good squad option

At 32, Dawson may not quite be the footballer he was a few years ago but he remains a great professional who could give Wolves' next manager added squad depth at the back.

West Ham teammate Michail Antonio has hailed him as 'unbelievable' and his versatility allows him to thrive as both a centre-back and a right-back.

The fact that Wolves were so close to signing Dawson in the summer surely suggests they could be at the front of the queue once again, in what would be a solid if unspectacular piece of business.
