Arsenal are interested in snapping up Wolves winger Pedro Neto before the end of the summer transfer window, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The Lowdown: Neto a key man at Wolves

The 22-year-old is an incredibly gifted young player and is one of Wanderers' most prized assets, given the long-term potential he possesses.

Neto has battled his way back from a serious knee injury suffered late in the 2020/21 season, playing all 90 minutes of his side's Premier League opener at Leeds United on Saturday.

There is always going to be interest in the talented Portuguese maestro, however, and it looks as though Arsenal see him as the answer to their hunt for a new winger.

The Latest: Arsenal have made enquiries

Speaking to Give Me Sport, Jones claimed that the Gunners want to acquire Neto's signature in the coming weeks:

"If they decide to stay in the Premier League, I think Pedro Neto could be one to look out for.

"There have been some enquiries made along that path and I think that’s one that might get talked about a little bit more in the next week or so."

The Verdict: Got to keep hold of him

Losing Neto would be an almighty blow for Wolves, with the youngster someone who possesses genuine brilliance in the final third, wreaking havoc out wide with his devilish left foot.

He already has 11 goals and 12 assists to his name for Wanderers, and now that he is back fit again, there is no reason why he can't go up another gear and even become Bruno Lage's best attacking player.

Thierry Henry has spoken of his admiration for Neto in the past, which speaks volumes, and Wolves must do all they can to prevent him from joining the Frenchman's former club, should the move appeal to him.
