Wolves manager Bruno Lage has hinted that new summer signing Sasa Kalajdzic could be available to make his debut against Southampton this weekend.

The Lowdown: Wolves host Saints

Wanderers are back in Premier League action on Saturday afternoon, welcoming Saints to Molineux as they search for their first league win of the season.

The pressure is on Lage after a disappointing start to the campaign but the signing of Kalajdzic will hopefully make them a different animal in attack moving forward.

The towering 25-year-old has arrived from Stuttgart and will be hoping to hit the ground running from the off, having scored 24 times in 60 appearances for his former club.

The Latest: Lage hints at Kalajdzic debut

Speaking to reporters on Friday [via Hampshire Live], Lage suggested that Kalajdzic could feature at Molineux after receiving his work permit:

"We are doing our best, let's see what happens, but I think so."

The Verdict: Exciting

Seeing a new signing make his debut is always exciting and that will be no different with Kalajdzic on Saturday, should he earn minutes against Saints.

At 6 foot 7, the 15-time capped Austria international is a unique footballer who is hard to miss and he has the potential to be a nightmare for opposition defenders, especially in a possible partnership with the industrious Raul Jimenez.

Whether or not Kalajdzic starts or comes off the substitutes' bench remains to be seen but it promises to be an exciting afternoon following a fairly dour start to the season.
