# Wolves: Patrick Cutrone set to return to Italy in line with imminent Molineux arrival

**Serie A side Parma are ready to move for Wolves striker Patrick Cutrone, with Fosun expected to seal the [‘done deal’ (via Fabrizio Romano)](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1352616271184080901) for Real Sociedad star Willian Jose.**

### Cutrone to leave again?

The 23-year-old was recently brought back to the West Midlands by Nuno Espirito Santo on the back of Raul Jimenez’s serious injury and Cutrone’s miserable six months at Fiorentina.

Cutrone, who earns [£62k-per-week](https://www.spotrac.com/epl/wolverhampton-wanderers-fc/payroll/) with Wolves, has only [scored three times in 27 outings](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/patrick-cutrone/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/265078) for the club and has only made [two](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/329681/MatchStatistics/Patrick-Cutrone) brief appearances as a substitute with just [23](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/329681/MatchStatistics/Patrick-Cutrone) minutes of action this term.

After [reports (BBC)](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55747934) recently emerged that Nuno is trying to secure the signing of Willian Jose, a move [Fabrizio Romano has since claimed is a ‘done deal’](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1352616271184080901), this could have consequences for Cutrone.

This is according to [Sky Italia](https://sport.sky.it/calciomercato/2021/01/21/cutrone-parma-calciomercato-news), who explained that Parma would take up any opportunity to get Cutrone, on the basis that Wolves were to bring in another striker this month and the Italy U21 international is made available.

### Transfer Tavern Verdict

Cutrone is one of Wolves’ [top ten earners](https://www.spotrac.com/epl/wolverhampton-wanderers-fc/payroll/) at the club. For a player that hardly plays any minutes but still takes home a large percentage of the club’s wage budget, it would be best for both parties if they were to part ways.

The Italian centre-forward [did not start](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/329681/Show/Patrick-Cutrone) a single game for Fiorentina during his brief time at the Artemio Franchi Stadium, which may have forced Nuno to act into bringing in a replacement for Jimenez.

The grim reality for Cutrone is that his future is likely away from Molineux, but he still has plenty of years ahead of him to get his career back on track.
