# Wolves: These fans are unconvinced by Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad depth comments

**Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo feels that he has a large enough squad to compete in four tournaments this season, despite [failing to win their first four Premier League games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/wolverhampton-wanderers/spielplan/verein/543).**

Joe Edwards, [Wolves reporter for the Express & Star](https://twitter.com/JoeEdwards_Star), tweeted comments from Nuno about their squad depth after [yesterday’s defeat at Everton](https://www.skysports.com/football/everton-vs-wolves/report/408015) ([via @JoeEdwards\_Star](https://twitter.com/JoeEdwards_Star/status/1168197027043446784)).

> Nuno asked about if he has squad depth to cope with Europe and Prem in his post-match presser.

> "We have 60 players – 60 players," he replied. [#wwfc](https://twitter.com/hashtag/wwfc?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)

When asked if Wolves’ squad was big enough to contend with Europa League matches on top of Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup commitments, Nuno replied: “[We have 60 players](https://twitter.com/JoeEdwards_Star/status/1168197027043446784)“.

Wolves have already played 10 matches in all competitions this season and, at a minimum, will have 34 more Premier League games, one game each in the domestic cups and six Europa League group matches. \[[via TransferMarkt.co.uk](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/wolverhampton-wanderers/spielplan/verein/543)\]

Nuno used just 21 players in the Premier League last season, with all but four of those making 17 or more appearances. \[[via TransferMarkt.co.uk](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/wolverhampton-wanderers/leistungsdaten/verein/543/plus/0?reldata=GB1%262018)\]

These Wolves fans on Twitter feel that the manager is still operating from a very threadbare squad in what has already been a busy season for the Molineux outfit:

> Nuno has embarassed himself here. Stupid thing to say

> Make it 61 if you include me. I'm probably about as qualified as whichever 12 year olds hes including in this.

> We really don’t though do we. The senior squad is too small.

> Well only 18 of those must be deemed good enough because he hasn't used any of the other 42.
