Tottenham are reportedly interested in making a move for Wolves winger Adama Traore, with the Spaniard yet to sign a new contract at Molineux.

The Lowdown: Traore linked with Wolves exit

The 25-year-old hasn't always been a regular since Bruno Lage took charge in the summer, starting seven of the Midlanders' 11 Premier League games. He has become more of a peripheral figure in recent weeks, not featuring at all at home to Everton and only coming on as a substitute away to Crystal Palace.

Traore's current Wolves deal runs out in the summer of 2023 and the fact that he is extend his stay at Molineux may suggest that a move could be on the cards.

The Latest: Spurs keen on move

Traore has been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent times, and according to The Mirror, Spurs are also in the mix to sign the Spain international, who was hailed as 'fantastic' by former Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo towards the end of last season.

It is stated that Tottenham 'could revive their interest' after Antonio Conte's arrival as manager in north London, ironically following the sacking of Nuno at the start of this month.

The Verdict: Is January the time to sell?

With each passing week, there feels an increasing sense that Wolves could be wise to sell Traore in January or next summer. Although he averages the most dribbles per game in the Premier League (5.6) so far this season, he is yet to turn that good running into discernible end product, with no goals or assists to his name.

His hesitancy to sign a new deal suggests that he might not be entirely happy at the club and Wolves could receive a hefty fee for the speedy winger, who is valued at £27m by Transfermarkt.

That being said, with Francisco Trincao only on loan from Barcelona until next summer, it is vital that the club line up an ideal replacement for Traore if he does move on and spend the money from his prospective sale wisely.
