Wolves and Galatasaray have been in 'last 48 hour' transfer talks over winger Adama Traore with the Turkish transfer window closing tonight.

The Lowdown: Traore exit inevitable?

The winger, once a star player at Molineux, has been linked repeatedly with a move away as the likes of Tottenham are mentioned as interested parties.

Traore's current deal expires next year with Bruno Lage's side now running out of time to make any real money off his signature.

Barcelona re-signed their former ace earlier this year but didn't take up the option to make his move a permanent one, leaving the Spaniard in Premier League limbo.

The Latest: Galatasaray in talks...

Now, with the Turkish transfer window closing at midnight on Thursday, Galatasaray have been in 'last 48 hour' talks to sign Traore on loan - according to Sporx.

However, there are a few stumbling blocks to iron out, most notably the rumour that Wolves' winger is demanding a higher salary than what Gala have offered.

It is also believed that Wolves themselves are wanting a much-improved initial loan fee with the Turkish Super Lig offering up €3.5 million (£3 million).

The Verdict: Get it done?

Traore when at his very best can really be such a dangerous weapon.

As per WhoScored, no Wolves player managed to even come close to his phenomenal rate of completes dribbles per 90 over the first half of last campaign (4.2).

A truly scary prospect when it comes to one-on-ones, it's hardly surprising pundits like Noel Whelan have called him a 'thrilling' player.

That being said, with his deal expiring in 2023, it's perhaps best for Lage and co to make the most out of him while they still can, even if the best they can muster is a loan fee with a permanent clause.
