Wolves: Patrick Cutrone attracting interest from Parma - Wolves Transfer Rumours

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Patrick Cutrone has been linked with a move to Parma, according to reports.

Cutrone heading back to Italy?

SPORT ITALIA journalist Gianluigi Longari revealed on Twitter that the two-time UEFA Cup winners have approached Nuno Espirito Santo’s side as they would like to sign the 23-year-old this month.

He added that Wolves are waiting on other market moves. While cryptic, it may suggest that the Black Country club could be looking to bring in a fresh face themselves before allowing Cutrone to potentially leave.

Can you name these ten obscure Wolves players? First up, who is this?

Cutrone was recently recalled from his loan spell at Fiorentina following the severe injury to star forward Raul Jimenez, who suffered a fractured skull during his side’s 2-1 victory over Arsenal at the end of November.

The Italian, who earns £62k-per-week at Molineux (Spotrac), has yet to score since his return and did not start a single game for La Viola in what was a forgetful six months for Cutrone (Whoscored).

Transfer Tavern Verdict

This season has not gone the way that Nuno would have been hoping as scoring goals has proven to be a significant problem for Wolves since the loss of Jimenez.

After Cutrone’s disappointing period back in Serie A, it could be the best move for both parties if he was to leave the club – but only on the basis that Nuno finds a striker this month before letting him go.

Time will tell if Wolves bolster their options in January, or whether they will wait until Jimenez’s return and keep Cutrone at the club.
