Roma are reportedly eyeing up summer moves for Wolves pair Rui Patricio and Nelson Semedo, following Jose Mourinho's arrival as manager.

The Lowdown: Mourinho eyeing new signings already

The Portuguese will take charge of the Serie A giants this summer, having been relieved of his duties at Tottenham.

It is a move that seemingly materialised quickly and Mourinho will now be focused on more repairing his reputation, following a poor spell in England.

Needless to say, he will be looking at new signings immediately and it appears as though a couple of Wolves players could be in his sights.

The Latest: Roma linked with Wolves pair

According to Gazzetta dello Sport [via Sport Witness], both Patricio and Semedo are seen as targets for Roma, with the latter described as 'a name to follow'.

Mourinho is represented by Jorge Mendes, as is Patricio, which is also seen as a reason why he could acquire his fellow countryman's services in Italy.

The Verdict: Time to say goodbye?

While both Patricio and Semedo have been regulars for Wolves this season, making 65 Premier League starts between them, it could be time to allow them to move on, particularly the former.

At 33, Patricio isn't getting any younger and his contract expires in 2022, meaning Nuno Espirito Santo receives a fee for the goalkeeper this summer, which could go towards new signings. Wait and he doesn't sign a new deal, and the club could see him leave for free.

Meanwhile, Semedo hasn't consistently impressed in a Wolves shirt - he has mustered a Whoscored rating of less than 7.0 in seven of his last nine showings - and is valued at £28.8million by Transfermarkt, suggesting they could get a healthy fee for him.

Were both to stay put, it would certainly be no bad thing, but there are positives in allowing them to leave, as Santo looks to refresh his squad after a hugely disappointing campaign.
