# Wolves: Fans react as Cutrone return claim emerges

**A lot of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have been reacting to a [tweet that was recently posted by Wolves news Twitter account @TalkingWolves,](https://twitter.com/TalkingWolves/status/1338476204802920448) which relayed the reported news that Old Gold striker Patrick Cutrone is set to return to Molineux.**

Cutrone, who was signed by Wolves from AC Milan for [£19.8m back in the summer of 2019](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/patrick-cutrone/transfers/spieler/265078), scored just [three goals in his 24 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/patrick-cutrone/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/265078/plus/0?saison=&verein=543&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=) for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side last season.

He departed from the West Midlands club and returned to his native Italy [in January](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/patrick-cutrone/transfers/spieler/265078), as he secured a loan move to Fiorentina which is set to conclude at the end of the 2020/21 campaign, but as of yet, it may be fair to say that he’s failed to impress at the Serie A club.

He’s hit the back of the net just [five times in his 33 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/patrick-cutrone/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/265078/plus/0?saison=&verein=430&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=) for Fiorentina so far and failed to score a single goal so far this season.

Now, per [Gazzetta dello Sport](https://www.gazzetta.it/), via [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/player-will-return-wolves-january-switch-now-presented-sure-thing/), Cutrone’s loan spell at Viola may be set to end prematurely, as it’s been stated ‘as fact’ that the 22-year-old will return to Molineux when the transfer window re-opens next month, with Wolves attacker Raul Jimenez [out of action after suffering a fractured skull](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/raul-jimenez/verletzungen/spieler/206040).

### **So, how did these Wolves fans react to this claim on Cutrone?**

Many Wolves fans shared a positive reaction to this claim after it was relayed by @TalkingWolves on Twitter, indicating that they’d like to see the [£13.95m-rated](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/patrick-cutrone/marktwertverlauf/spieler/265078) striker back in action for the Old Gold, despite the fact he wasn’t exactly prolific for the West Midlands club last time around.

> Would not be opposed to this at all. He’s 22, only had three Premier League starts and the potential is still there to see. Given our CF options, it’s a no-brainer. [https://t.co/eDb3KSwZv9](https://t.co/eDb3KSwZv9)
