# Wolves: Fans rave over Eriksen link

**Many Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have flocked to a [tweet from Wolves news Twitter account @TalkingWolves](https://twitter.com/TalkingWolves/status/1346223684911042560) which shares [Sky Sports Italy’s claim](https://sport.sky.it/calciomercato/2021/01/05/calciomercato-news-trattative-oggi-5-gennaio) (08:39) that the Old Gold are in talks with representatives of Internazionale attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen, who is on the Serie A side’s transfer list this month, [as stated by Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta](https://www.goal.com/en/news/eriksen-set-to-leave-inter-as-ceo-marotta-confirms-midfielder-is-/1ckrx7y2bcxa61w7dab2g6e3m5).**

This comes just a year after the Denmark international joined Antonio Conte’s side from Wolves’ Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur [for £24.3m](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-eriksen/transfers/spieler/69633).

It may be fair to say that the 28-year-old’s move to Italy hasn’t worked out very well, with Eriksen earning a relatively low [overall WhoScored rating](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/75/Archive/Italy-Inter?stageId=17835) of 6.60 from his 17 Serie A appearances for Inter last season – a lower overall rating than the stats website gave to as many as 20 other Nerazzurri players for the 2019/20 campaign.

This season has seen Eriksen earn an even worse [overall WhoScored rating](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/75/Show/Italy-Inter) of 6.27 from his eight appearances in Italy’s top flight – the lowest overall rating WhoScored have given to any Inter player who has started at least one league game this season.

### **So, how have these Wolves fans been reacting to this transfer claim?**

Despite Eriksen’s poor form at Inter, many Wolves fans rejoiced over this transfer link, indicating that they’d love to see the ex-Spurs man at Molineux – one supporter said the move would be ‘unreal’.
