# Woodward should ensure these 2 Man United flops follow Zlatan Ibrahimovic out of Man United if he leaves

**Our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are preparing themselves for their former hero to leave the club this year. Indeed, football certainly is a fickle game, even for the biggest stars to ever grace the pitch.**

Last season’s top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic is looking likely to [move his career](https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/exclusive-zlatan-ibrahimovic-leave-end-season-manchester-united-draw-succession-plan-144234499.html) on, to either China or America this year after things have slowed down at Old Trafford following his injury at the end of last season. A sad end, though a necessary one if United are going to move forward.

Having been displaced as the first choice striker by summer signing Romelu Lukaku this term, Ibrahimovic will surely not be settling for a place on the bench on a regular basis and with new talent coming through, Zlatan may decide a March move to either league is best for his career at the moment.

Many of our long-time punters are expecting a lot of movement in and out of the Old Trafford door this window and wouldn’t be surprised to see a little of the floating deadwood shipped out sharpish.

Our landlord, after much discussion with the barman, takes a look at two potential United players that could follow Zlatan out of the door…

## Matteo Darmian

Many believe that this full-backs time at United is over, since his move to the Red Devils a couple of seasons ago, he’s barely set a flicker, never mind a light to the Old Trafford faithful. He’s a decent enough back up squad player but adds nothing to the team in general when he plays.

Surely it’s time for the fullback to possibly go back to Italy and re-find his form and level in order to re-impress.

Jose Mourinho will surely look to strengthen such a key area of the squad in the next few windows and, for that, the Italian needs to depart.

## Axel Tuanzebe

The defender could be looking at a loan move away from Old Trafford in order to gain some first-team experience and elevate his standing among the squad. He’s had a handful of minutes this season and impressed a few of the old-timers here in the pub.

However, for Tuanzebe to really move on in his United career, a loan move seems to be the path that would benefit him the most. If he could return a better player, he may have a chance of carving out a long-term career at the Theatre of Dreams, with neither Phil Jones or Chris Smalling proving overly convincing.
