‘100% welcome’, ‘Would be wonderful’ - Chelsea fans react on Twitter to legend’s teasing comments

With the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern always eager to see the club bring in big names, one man in particular has entered discussions of late.

Indeed, while his playing days are now numbered after revealing he’ll retire in December, Italian legend Andrea Pirlo has refused to rule out the idea of him linking up with Antonio Conte as a coach.

The Chelsea boss worked with the World Cup-winning midfielder with both the Italian national side and Juventus and the Blues in our bar would love nothing more than to see the Azzurri hero finally come to Stamford Bridge.

Though it’d be as a coach rather than a player, one of the coolest men in world football cutting his managerial teeth is a hugely popular idea in our bar and, while it’s a long away off, has been discussed by the punters propping up our bar.
