Spurs fans here in the Tavern are becoming overly concerned about the possible departure of their most influential young player.
Due to Spurs having their patience being heavily tested by Spanish giants Real Madrid, they find themselves in a situation that sees an increased amount of attention being placed upon the shoulders of starlet Dele Alli.
Currently sitting in joint second place in the Premier League standings, as an inspired Mauricio Pochettino legacy has kick started the possibilities of them building on yet another title challenge.
In terms of the possibility of a Wembley exit for England’s hottest prospect, proceedings have turned into a matter of ‘when’ instead of ‘if’ as the arrival of the January transfer window has seen things start hotting up.

Real Madrid and Jorge Mendes have always been known to have close ties between one another, typically what makes this proposition so influential in bringing Alli to the Bernebau, is the fact that reports have suggested the Portuguese agent is currently undergoing talks with the youngster and his family to welcome the England international to his agency.
Sadly with this perhaps not being the reports that many Spurs fans would like to take in, here’s a look at TWO possible reasons for this to be viewed as a good thing…

For selling England’s biggest future and present prospect, Spurs will be assured of a healthy sum of money for the services of their midfield man. Digging out £5 million for his talents from MK Dons back in 2015, they’ll definitely find themselves bagging at least 10 times the profit.
However, no official amount of money has been discussed between the two clubs, but our punters here in the Tavern have come to expect that a finalized deal could be something in the region of £50 million plus, due to reports of a sum that was floating around back in January of this year.
Daniel Levy and Tottenham looking into cashing in on his talents has left an added opportunity for fellow midfielder Christian Eriksen, who over the past year has grown to become one of both Spurs and the Premier League’s most attractive stars.
In the grand scheme of things, the departure of Alli will benefit both Pochettino and Spurs, due to it allowing for Eriksen to become the focal point of the attack that he’s managed to thrive off in the previous couple of international breaks.
Youthful opportunities
The youth set up at The Enfield Training centre has always been a closely linked feature of Mauricio Pochettino’s legacy built at the club, and most recently seeing the rise of Harry Winks has continued the Argentine’s reaping of the rewards of giving youth a chance.
Although seeking the end of Dele Alli in the attacking midfield role would spell the end of a short-lived era for the club, fans here in the Tavern are excited at the prospect of welcoming the possibility of more promising talent into the first team ranks.
One player in particular who’s yet to receive a chance for the first team is youth midfielder Marcus Edwards, the 18-year-old looks set to be the next rising star in line for a chance under Pochettino after impressing in the nation’s youth set up since U15 level, as he continues to knock on the door.
Along with the talents of on loan Spurs youngster Josh Onomah, who is currently impressing during his time at Championship side Aston Villa, after he returned from helping the England U20 squad bring back the World Cup from South Korea.
