West Ham supporters were relatively buoyant in the Transfer Tavern over the weekend after seeing their side draw 1-1 against high-flying Burnley at Turf Moor, a match in which the Hammers were forced to play over an hour with just ten men.

Slaven Bilic’s men went into their clash with the Lancashire-based club on Saturday off the back of a 1-0 success over Swansea City just prior to the international break, and they looked set to make it back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time since January when winger Michail Antonio gave them a 19th minute lead at Turf Moor. However, Andy Carroll’s red card eight minutes later made things much tougher for the visitors, who did indeed succumb to Burnley’s pressure when Chris Wood headed home five minutes from time to secure a point for Sean Dyche’s men.

That draw leaves West Ham 15th in the Premier League and just three points clear of the bottom three, and there may be more frustrating news to come for our resident Hammers fans if a recent report from The Daily Mirror is anything to go by.

And that’s because they report that the East London outfit may consider selling starlet Reece Oxford in January amid reported interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.

The 18-year-old is currently on loan at German side Borussia Monchengladbach but has yet to appear for the Bundesliga outfit at all this season, this all after a relatively disappointing spell at Reading in the second half of last season.

And reports suggest that he may not have much of a future at West Ham either, and as such here are TWO players who could follow the versatile ace out of the London Stadium in January…

Diafra Sakho

Striker Diafra Sakho made the trip to Rennes on deadline day in a bid to try and force through a move to the French club, but he remained a West Ham player beyond the deadline following a bizarre set of circumstances.

However, with his contract up in the summer, and with the 27-year-old currently struggling for regular football at the London Stadium, he may well seek a move again when the window reopens in January.

The Senegal international has yet to start a Premier League game for Bilic’s side this term, yet has made seven appearances off the bench for the Hammers, and of course netted the crucial winner in the 1-0 success over Swansea City earlier this month.

Nonetheless, with first team chances hard to come by, and a contract up in the summer, Sakho may well be on his way out of the London Stadium come January.

Javier Hernandez

There have been murmurings in recent weeks that striker Javier Hernandez is unhappy at West Ham, something the man himself has since denied on Twitter.

However, were the Hammers to remain languishing near the relegation zone, and the club continue to struggle to get the best out of him, the 29-year-old may well seek a move away in the New Year.

The former Manchester United forward has scored three goals in eight Premier League games for West Ham, but manager Bilic is still struggling to find a system to really get the best out of him, with Hernandez having played left-wing, in the number ten role, and just behind Andy Carroll during his time at the London Stadium.

And with a World Cup coming up at the end of the campaign, the 29-year-old will want to be in good form and scoring goals – yet it remains to be seen whether he can do that at West Ham.
