While the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern don’t want to get too carried away with this season, it would take a huge collapse for them not to win the league under Brendan Rodgers. 

Having already won the League Cup this term, the Hoops can focus largely on the Scottish Cup as they attempt to win a historic treble during the first season under his watch.

Not only that, but perhaps the former Liverpool coach can start planning for next term as the January window fast approaches.

Some astute additions in the New Year will not only help their campaign right now, though would also give such players time to bed in during a relatively pressure-free period for the Hoops.

As Rodgers looks to make his side more competitive in Europe next season, perhaps some smart signings now can embed them into his philosophy in the months to come.

Having recently snubbed a new deal with Hull City, Scotland international Robert Snodgrass would be quite the coup for the SPFL.

A hugely talented player performing very well in a poor Premier League side, the boyhood Celtic fan should make an emotional return.

Jordon Mutch

Crystal Palace playmaker has been linked with a move to Parkhead and seems like another talent to flourish under Rodgers’ tutelage.

His career has stalled somewhat since leaving Birmingham City, though the ex-Cardiff ace certainly is talented and could provide cover for Tom Rogic.
