Tottenham will take on London rivals Fulham today in the FA Cup, in a game both teams will be desperate to win to progress to the next round. 

Our Spurs fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been a pretty happy bunch of late, and they look well set to make a good run at securing a top four finish, despite the loss to Liverpool last weekend.

Rumours over at fruit machine among the Spurs faithful are that Pochettino could opt to give some fringe players a chance this weekend, players who will be desperate to prove a point and put in a good performance in the cup.

Spurs would love to win the FA Cup, and they will need their fringe players to deliver if they are given the chance today.

With this in mind, we have taken a look at TWO Spurs players who could do with proving a point today…

Vincent Janssen

It has been a miserable first season in England for the striker, and he will be hoping to get the nod over Harry Kane for what would be a rare start today.

The Dutch striker clearly has ability, but for one reason or another has simply not hit form this season. Expect Janssen to be putting in 100% and in desperate need of a goal should he get the nod today.

Kieran Trippier

The former Burnley right back is well used to playing second fiddle to Kyle Walker at White Hart Lane, but this by no means me he is not a good player.

Trippier might well get the nod today ahead of Walker, and he will be keen to prove his worth to the manager.

An excellent crosser of the ball and a work horse, Trippier will look to seize his chance best he can if selected today.
