It’s a new season but the Gunners in the Transfer Tavern haven’t seen much change from their side this year…
Last weekend’s win over Bournemouth has not masked the fact that Arsene Wenger’s men have lost two of their first four games and the club simply looks to be in a mini crisis at the minute with issues occurring on and off the pitch.
The transfer window was an example of the calamity that is happening with Arsenal and although Alexandre Lacazette was purchased to boost their goal threat, the futures around many key players were still not addressed meaning the Gunners look like they will be struggling for the first half of this season. It was a relief to many a Gunner in the Tavern that the window is shut for now and they can focus on the results instead of who may be leaving the Emirates.
Meanwhile, our landlord has a different view on proceedings and he feels this is the season for Wenger to really bring through his young guns. He has been recommending players under the age of 21 that his resident Gunners should look out for. They are, after all, the future.
It truly is an interesting topic and here are the two young guns our landlord feels have a bright future at the Emirates…
