West Ham have not had the most convincing of starts, but it appears that things are changing at the London Stadium, and with the prospect of an out-of-form Hull City next up, it could help the Irons push on even more.
Bilic’s men haven’t been as dominant and forthcoming as many felt they would be after such a great campaign last season.
Many felt that the Hammers had overachieved when they managed an 8th place finish and perhaps going off this season, they were correct.
But with a number of changes to the squad through signings made and none of them really making an impact, it is easy to see why things haven’t quite worked out for the Irons.
So with it being a vital game, we feel if Bilic fields this West Ham XI they will surely comfortably beat Hull City….
GK: DARREN RANDOLPH
With Adrian bang out of form, and Randolph proving important for the Hammers in recent games, we fully expect the Irish international to keep the number 1 spot for the time being.
CB: ANGELO OGBONNA
Been a lot more solid recently and is starting to turn the Hammers’ faithful back in his favour.
The former Juventus man has had a bit of a stop-start season thus far, but his experience could be vital for his side in this game.
CB: WINSTON REID
The New Zealander has been with the Hammers in bad and good times and his experiences can be vital in helping the side make sure they start climbing back up the table again.
CB: CHEIKHOU KOUYATE
With Kouyate back in the side he is a must in the heart of defence!
He is a threat going forward from corners.
The midfielder come defender has great ability to help the Hammers build out from the back!
This is the type of game in which he really could be vital in the battle with the likes of Sam Clucas and Robert Snodgrass.
LWB: AARON CRESSWELL
The former Ipswich man has been a vital cog in the side’s rejuvenation since his return from injury and when fit will be one of the first names on the team-sheet for Bilic.
RWB: MICHAIL ANTONIO
The player who every manager would want on his side.
Getting all over the park, from defending to scoring in a matter of moments.
The former Forest winger is a favourite among the faithful here at the Tavern and it’s easy to see why!
CM: PEDRO OBIANG
The Spanish midfielder has had to wait and be patient but now he looks irreplaceable in the heart of the West Ham midfield.
A solid performer every game even when his side loses!
CM: MARK NOBLE
The West Ham captain hasn’t been as consistent as he was last season but yet again he scored a vital goal for the Hammers as they beat Burnley on Wednesday night at the London stadium.
The captain has said that he doesn’t care about good football just getting the win and he’ll need to dig deep against Hull City to ensure the Irons push on from here.
LW: DIMITRI PAYET
With a superb free-kick at Liverpool last weekend it is looking more and more like the Payet of last season in recent weeks.
Much to the delight of all the West Ham punters here in the Transfer Tavern.
The key player for a revival for the Irons.
RW: MANUEL LANZINI
The Argentine midfielder was a standout player for the Hammers last season and has yet to really pick up the pace again this season.
It’s only a matter of time and with the next few games being very important and solid performance against Hull and all will be forgotten of his season so far.
ST: ANDY CARROLL
With the 6ft 4 striker now finally fit, he could really be the difference maker if he can remain that way.
Payet has been providing opportunities left, right and centre with no-one on the end of it – but with Carroll in the side, he will always be on the end of any cross.
