3-4-3: Conte must field this Chelsea XI to destroy Man City on Saturday

Chelsea are back to their best this season and it appears that consistency is key to their success…

The Blues finally look to be building some momentum and are now sitting proud at the top of the Premier League – but they are only one point above their opponents this Saturday – Manchester City

They face a side whom are set to challenge Chelsea for the title in the Guardiola-led club, who themselves have been in quite the vein of form – they’ll for sure be up there come the end of the season.

Guardiola and City have been in form this season and most recently won at the expense of Burnley – and they may have something to say about Chelsea continuing their run of form.

However, Chelsea’s recent performances appear no sign of slowing – and our landlord is backing them for a dominant win over the Citizens.

With that said, if Conte picks this 3-4-3 Chelsea XI then they will surely destroy Man City on Saturday

GK: THIBAUT COURTOIS

Courtois

Before the game at Spurs the Belgian had gone seven games without conceding and looks back to being the keeper of old.

An obvious choice for sure!

CB: GARY CAHILL

Romagnoli cahill

Conte seems to like consistency in his team selection and with Cahill finally looking as solid as we know he can be – there is no reason that this English centre-back should not be in the side against City.

CB: CESAR AZPILICUETA

Cesar Azpilicueta

It’s hard to imagine a Chelsea side without him in it – the 27-year-old is their best option and he has been a solid performer so far.

He has been in the side for some time now and there is no reason for that to change this weekend.

CB: DAVID LUIZ

The Brazilian surprised many when he returned to Chelsea and he’s surprised even more people with how well he’s adapted back to life at the Bridge.

He will have a tough time keeping Aguero quiet but he can do it, if he performs at the level we know he can.

LWB: MARCOS ALONSO

alonso

Has been a great addition to the side this season.

He could have grabbed a goal against Spurs but unfortunately hit the ball out the stadium, but with another good display he’ll cause issues for City for sure.

RWB: VICTOR MOSES

He has become a regular at Chelsea since the arrival of Conte.

Surprising many this season, Moses has been superb for Chelsea – he even got himself the winning goal against Spurs last time out.

CDM: N’GOLO KANTE

N'Golo Kanted

N’Golo Kante will need to be on top form to deal with Man City’s ever-present attack.

Will need to keep De Bruyne and Aguero quiet in particular.

CDM: NEMANJA MATIC

Matic

Matic has looked okay in the midfield, but perhaps he is the only player in this side who Conte may look to replace come January.

Not as convincing as you’d like in this side, but with consistency key to Conte – he will keep his place for now!

RW: PEDRO

pedro

We keep thinking maybe he’ll drop off and allow Willian back into the side after his amazing season last year, but Pedro has been world class this season and to drop him would be a big mistake.

The former Barca man struck a lovely goal at Spurs and could be a thorn in City’s side this weekend.

LW: EDEN HAZARD

hazard

Slowly and surely getting back to his very best this season.

This type of game could really help show the quality the winger has.

ST: DIEGO COSTA

You may hate him, you may love him, but you cannot doubt his qualities.

He does some foolish things on the pitch but under Conte seems to have taken that out of his game and is fully focused on scoring and helping his side win.
