Arsenal have touched down in Sydney for their pre-season tour of Australia, and the Gooners here in the Transfer Tavern are buzzing to see how the side get on.

The Gunners, who set off on Sunday night landed down under in the early hours of Tuesday morning and are now preparing for their first game against Sydney FC on July 13.

Arsenal fans will be smiling that new signing Alexandre Lacazette flew out with his teammates.

The Gunners also meet Western Sydney Wanderers on July 15 and the matches will be an inkling as to what the Frenchman will bring to the Arsenal team.

Those who won’t be smiling are the Arsenal players left at home this summer.

Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern seem to think those left in north London will be out the Arsenal door come the start of the season.

Wojciech Szczesny

The Poland international is expected to leave the club this summer.

Szczesny was not given assurances by Arsene Wenger that he will receive regular game time this season.

The 26- year-old enjoyed a successful two -ear spell on loan to Roma.

Last season, the shot-stopper kept 14 clean sheets in Serie A and is now heavily linked with a move back, this time to Juventus.

Lucas Perez

Arsenal signed the striker from Deportivo La Coruna last summer, but Lucas Perez’s opportunities were limited throughout the season.

When given minutes, the Spaniard often showed his composure in front of goal, yet Arsene Wenger was reluctant to move him above Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck in the pecking order.

Carl Jenkinson

Jenkinson had a brief spell in the Arsenal side last season after returning from a two-year loan spell at West Ham.

Despite Hector Bellerin getting injured in the middle part of the season, the Englishman was unable to seize his opportunity after a couple of poor performances.

The fan backlash knocked the right-back’s confidence and Jenkinson spent the rest of the campaign on the sidelines.

After being left at home for the AFC tour, it now appears he needs to find a new club.
