Antonio Conte’s Italian side bowed out of the European Championship against Germany in the quarter final, but this is unlikely to deter the young manager from keeping an eye on the final this weekend. Also watching will be the Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern, wondering which of the players involved their new boss has his eye on.
Now in charge of his new club Chelsea after his contract finished with the Italian national team, the Stamford Bridge manager will be looking to start his summer recruitment process to bring Chelsea back to their best.
The European Championships draws to a close this Sunday at the Stade de France in Paris, and you can be sure Antonio Conte will be looking for players who could aid Chelsea’s resurgence in the upcoming campaign.
Here are THREE players Conte should bring to Stamford Bridge this summer…
Blaise Matuidi

The Sun reported back in February that Chelsea were willing to put up £39m for French midfielder Blaise Matuidi this summer.
Looking likely to miss out on Antonio Conte’s former player Paul Pogba, it has been reported the Chelsea manager has turned his attention to PSG’s defensive midfielder.
With the Blues letting in 51 goals last season, the second worst record in the top half of the table, the Italian will be looking for reinforcements, and Matuidi would be a valuable asset to the Chelsea midfield.
Joao Mario

Sporting Lisbon midfielder Joao Mario has been busy this summer helping Portugal reach the Euro 2016 final.
At just 23, the player has experience both domestically and in Europe, as well as with the national side having made 17 appearances for Portugal to date.
Chelsea will have competition to sign the Portuguese star however, with Manchester United said to be interested, as well as Sporting trying to tie the player down to a long contract.
Andre Gomes

22-year-old Portuguese midfielder Andre Gomes is the subject of much transfer speculation this summer.
It is easy to see why, the dazzling playmaker has thrilled the Valencia fans at times, with his tricks, turns and terrific energy on the football pitch.
Chelsea have already reportedly had a £40m fee turned down for Euro 2016 star, with rumours that Valencia are awaiting to receive a bigger fee from Juventus who are quite possibly about to gain a serious cash injection from the sale of Paul Pogba.
This is one player who Conte is not going to want to let slip away though, with excitement already growing amongst Chelsea fans at the prospect of an attacking midfield three of Hazard, Gomes and Willian.
