With the January transfer window here it may be a time for the Chelsea gaffer to add the odd player or two in order to secure the title for the Blues.

With the exit of Oscar for an astronomical amount of money, it means the already rich Blues have even more money to spend this January.

Our landlord thinks it is essential that Antonio Conte utilises this transfer window to his optimum advantage, so the club can cement themselves firmly at the top of the Premier League table.

However, with the harmony so great in the Chelsea camp – Conte must ensure he doesn’t disturb that by making any of these THREE mistakes in January.

LOANING OUT BATSHUAYI

The Belgian striker has found his playing time limited at the Bridge this season with how well Diego Costa has been playing ,but with it getting to the pivotal period in the season, it is important that Chelsea have that quality in depth to continue their push.

It would undoubtedly be a mistake if Conte decided to let the Belgian depart this window.

OSCAR OUT, RODRIGUEZ IN

The Blues have allowed Oscar to leave for China and rightfully so as they got a resounding £60-million for him!
Probably not the best move for the player but for sure for the club.

With that being said, it’s been suggested by many punters here in the Tavern that Chelsea could look to replace him with out of favour James Rodriguez, who has found his time in Madrid tough.

But for us he’ll be in a similar role at a Chelsea and it will be a waste for the club and the player.

DISTURBING THE HARMONY

Chelsea had an awful season last year with it being said the harmony in the camp wasn’t there and that the players stopped playing for Mourinho!

Conte will for sure want to improve his team but he mustn’t make the same mistakes as the ‘special one’ did at the end of his tenure with the club – it’s important that he gets it just right and brings in the right players for the club.
