Tottenham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are excited to see their new signings in action after late deals went through on Deadline Day.

There wasn’t a bar-stool to hand as the supporters of the London club crammed around the TV’s here in the Tavern, as they waited to see if Moussa Sissoko was going to join them over Everton.

Earlier they’d seen the protracted deal for Georges-Kevin N’Koudou confirmed at last giving the club a fast and tricky winger, and as the seconds ticked by, Sissoko eventually made his mind up – he wanted to play for Spurs.

Sissoko will add another option in an already talented midfield but it remains to be seen just how good an option he, and N’Koudou are.

Over the next few months Spurs fans will get to see for themselves but they’ll be hopeful they have the desired affect.

It doesn’t always work out though as our landlord will tell you. Some players just seem to fizzle out and that can certainly be said for this THREE who dropped away from Spurs’ expectations…

Steven Caulker

Caulker’s career actually started okay but it was that build up that set him up for an even bigger fall.

After impressing initially at a young age he soon found himself at Swansea on loan where again he did okay.

It went wrong from there though with a move to Cardiff going badly for his career.

He wound up at QPR and despite a baffling loan move to Liverpool, he hasn’t simply found the heights he looked set for at Spurs.

Helder Postiga

What an incredibly bad signing.

The Portuguese striker came to White Hart Lane with the reputation of the man who was going to be his nation’s next top goal-scorer.

Naturally this excited the Spurs fans as they expected someone of the ilk of Pauleta, but soon realised he wasn’t going to be anything like as good.

He scored one goal in his time at Tottenham before leaving after a solitary season.

Paulinho

When any team signs a Brazilian international the fans are going to be excited and the deal for Paulinho was no different.

He started off fairly well too but soon it was clear he simply wasn’t that interested in competing at the highest level, and that was underlined by his move away from London.

He joined Guangzhou Evergrande in 2015 and he’s still there today!
