Reigning Premier League champions Chelsea have been on a downward spiral of a season during the 2015/16 campaign, much to the dismay of their supporters here in the Transfer Tavern.
A turbulent start to the season saw Chelsea lose nine games before Christmas, with boss Jose Mourinho paying the price for a poor start to the season and subsequently losing his job.
Guus Hiddink has returned for a second spell in an interim role as manager and the Blues have begun to pick up both performance levels, and more importantly points.
The Dutch manager is likely to bring in a few players during the January transfer window and at the same time he may oversee some players leave through the exit doors at Stamford Bridge.
Here we take a look at THREE players Chelsea should opt to part with during the month of January……

Cesc Fabregas
The Spanish midfielder was signed by Mourinho for his second stint in English football but he has lost his way somewhat this season.
His performances haven’t had anywhere near as much effect on the team this season as they did last, and a move out of the Bridge could be decent business for both parties.
The 28-year-old still has several years left ahead of him but now might be the time to cash in on the ex-Barcelona man, and put the funds towards other areas of the squad.
Loic Remy
The Frenchman is a decent striker and in all honesty is too good to be playing a peripheral part from the Chelsea bench.
One Chelsea fan here in the Transfer Tavern thinks that Remy would be good enough to play every single week for 15 of the 20 Premier League teams, and he might be right!
Remy was a revelation during a spell with Newcastle United, and how would the Magpies love a striker of his quality right now.
A Magpies fan is tucking into his burger and a pint meal deal and says he would go and fetch Remy from London right now if it meant him wearing the black and white stripes again.
You get the impression that if a deal could be struck between a suited party and Chelsea, the player would be more than happy to leave for more frequent first-team football.
Branislav Ivanovic
The 31-year-old does look set to sign a new contract which will keep him at the Blues beyond the end of this season, but I am not entirely convinced he should get one.
The defender was pretty awful earlier on the season, with one Chelsea punter in the Tavern labeling the big Serbian man as slow and weak in the right-back position.
With Ivanovic not getting any younger it would be seemingly foolish of the Blues to give such an inconsistent player a new deal, when in hindsight they can get some money for him now.
Chelsea have a ready made replacement in Cesar Azpilicueta, who had looked reliable when called upon in either full-back role.
One Blues fan is ready to sample one of the landlord’s new real ales and agrees that Ivanovic is past his best and the club would be right to seek a better defender.
