Nuno Capucho
The Portuguese winger arrived at Ibrox under manager Alex Mcleish and had already adhered himself to the Ibrox crowd, after being part of the Porto side that beat Celtic in the Uefa cup final. Although he had a high pedigree after making his name at Porto he had a disastrous spell in Govan and was moved on to Vigo after only one season.
James Beattie
The English striker arrived at Ibrox last summer and fans were hopeful that the striker could roll back the clock, and find the form that made him one of the most talked about prospects in English football. After only 6 months at Ibrox the player was loaned to Blackpool after failing to find the net for Rangers. James has since returned to Rangers and has vowed to fight for his place, although with his recent form and lack of fitness he could be shown the door sooner rather than later.
Egil Ostenstad
The big Norwegian was also another player brought in by manager Alex McLeish. After being brought in on a free transfer the striker made little or no contribution to the teams cause. Egil’s contract was terminated before the end of the season which saw him return to his old club Viking in Norway.
