The Arsenal faithful here in the Transfer Tavern have not had a great deal to shout about the past few years and although they have won a couple of FA Cups, the major prizes have eluded the North London-based club.
It is 13 long years since the Gunners last tasted success in the Premier League and that baron run has called for some of the more cynical Arsenal fans to call for boss Arsene Wenger’s head.
The 2016/17 campaign has started in solid style however and the style of play which the players are producing at present suggests that Arsenal can go all the way this season.
With the January transfer window now just around the corner, the Gunners faithful here in the Tavern are desperate to see Wenger open his wallet and sign the players required to secure the Premier League crown once more.
Tavern writer Lee Clarke takes a look at three players who Arsenal could realistically sign during the transfer window.
Julian Draxler

The Wolfsburg attacking midfielder is a long-term transfer target for Arsenal and January could be Wenger opts to make another attempt to sign the player.
The 23-year-old has featured heavily for the German outfit this season but a move to the English Premier League could be too good to turn down, especially considering Arsenal’s credentials to actually win the title this season.
One of the Gunners contingent is playing pool in the Tavern and he thinks that Draxler signing for Arsenal is simply a matter of when and not if, stating that it would be no surprise to see him don the red of Arsenal from January.
Joel Ward

The Crystal Palace right-back has been a solid part of the Eagles’ back four for several years now and with Palace struggling at the wrong end of the division a move might be on the cards.
Arsenal could do with a right-back as cover for the influential Hector Bellerin and a new addition to the defensive ranks could allow the out of sorts Carl Jenkinson to go out either on loan or permanently.
One Arsenal fan here in the Tavern isn’t entirely sure what Ward would add to the side, although he does concede that he would act as good cover for Bellerin.
Isco

The Real Madrid attacking midfielder hasn’t really played a great deal of football in La Liga this season and the Spanish giants might be willing to let him leave.
Although Arsenal are blessed with a plethora of talent in attack, the signing of someone of Isco’s quality can only improve their chances of winning the title.
One Gunners fan is sat with a beer and a burger meal deal here in the Tavern and he thinks that the signing of the Spaniard would give the club the edge over their rivals, stating that the club should pay Madrid what they want for the player.
Arsenal fans, would you welcome any of these three to the club? Who else should you try to sign? Let us know in the comments below!!!
