After a few pints at the Football Transfer Tavern to celebrate last season’s achievements and get over the fall away at the end of the season, Tottenham supporters are looking forward to next season.
Our punters have filled the tavern all summer to watch Tottenham’s stars representing their countries at Euro 2016, and are now turning their attention to the season and what they can expect from it.
After the signings of Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen from Southampton and AZ Alkmaar respectively the punters are excited for the upcoming campaign.
The landlord of the tavern highlights what to expect this season from a Tottenham side that will have Champions League football again.

Clinical Finishing
Despite a poor Euro 2016 Harry Kane’s finishing ability cannot be doubted and it is almost certain that he will get a lot of important goals for Spurs this season.
Last season Tottenham were reliant on him for their goals a lot of the time, but this season he will be joined by Vincent Janssen, who scored 31 goals in all competitions for AZ Alkmaar last season and has three goals in five games for Netherlands.
With these two in the team and other attacking threats in the team there will definitely be goals for Spurs.
Determination
After the implosion at the end of last season stopped them from winning the league Tottenham will be determined to get back into that type of position.
Many people suggested that the team bottled it at the end of last season, but with young and hungry players in the side, they will show their fight this season and look to get themselves towards the top again.
Teams coming up against Spurs won’t have any time of space and will be constantly heckled by this side.
Youngsters
Since Mauricio Pochettino has come to Spurs, a lot of youth stars have been given a chance.
If it wasn’t for him Harry Kane probably wouldn’t be Tottenham’s main man and the likes of Dele Alli and Eric Dier may not be household names.
It is expected that this year there will be some new names for fans at White Hart Lane with Joshua Onomah and Marcus Edwards looking like two contenders to get first team opportunities.
