3 things we can expect from Slaven Bilic’s West Ham this season – Agreed?

The Hammers at the Football Transfer Tavern are toasting Slaven Bilic and the work that he did last season getting West Ham to seventh in the league.

The punters at the tavern are hoping that Bilic’s side will be able to build on their achievements from last campaign and do well this season.

West Ham have brought in some new faces, such as Havard Nordtveit and Sofiane Feghouli and will definitely be looking to push on and compete at a high level now.

The Transfer Tavern landlord says what to expect from Slaven Bilic’s West Ham United side this campaign in their historic first season at the Olympic Stadium. Do you agree with these expectations and how do you think they will do this year?

Effective Wingplay

West Ham have a lot of brilliant wingers in their side, with the likes of Michail Antonio, Gokhan Töre and Sofiane Feghouli in the side and Dimitri Payet sometimes operating from the left hand side.

Expect to see these players tearing down the wing, attacking the opposition full backs and getting the ball into the box for the strikers to get onto.

With Andy Carroll in the side and a big name striker potentially signing for the club, they will have some great targets to aim at.

Cup Run

Slaven Bilic loves the cup, as he declared last season that he would rather win the FA Cup than get into the Champions League.

This means that after reaching the semi final of the FA Cup last season, West Ham supporters could be looking at another cup run and it could be West Ham on the screen in the tavern when the FA Cup Final comes.

As well as that, they are in the Europa League and the manager has said that he wants to go far in that competition too.

New Stars

Sam Byram

Last season Dimitri Payet became a West Ham cult hero after his move to the Premier League.

It is unlikely that any of West Ham’s players will get to that level but there could be a new star in claret and blue to join him.

The Hammers are being very active in the transfer window and there are also a few bright youngsters coming through the academy.

All of the West Ham players will want to hear their name being sung in the Olympic Stadium.
