Our resident Chelsea fans are still being mocked after their shock 3-2 defeat to Burnley on the opening day.

The Blues found themselves 3-0 down following Gary Cahill’s red card, before almost snatching a point at the death.

The England star was given his marching orders by referee Craig Pawson just 14 minutes into game for a rash challenge on Burnley’s Steven Defour.

Sam Vokes put the Clarets two up and Stephen Ward added a third for Sean Dyche’s side before half-time.

The second-half saw new boy Alvaro Morata net his first for Chelsea, but their fightback was halted when Cesc Fabregas became the second Blue to see red after a second bookable offence.

Morata then turned provider for David Luiz to make it 2-3, but Antonio Conte’s side couldn’t find an equaliser.

It’s a disappointing start for the Blues and a delightful one for Burnley.
