Celtic are literally just delaying the inevitable, they will undoubtedly be champions of the Scottish Premiership and they’ll have no problems going through any and everyone to get there!

The Bhoys have been utterly superb this season and, whilst many have questioned the quality of Scottish football, you simply cannot deny the superb feat they are on the brink of achieving in being unbeaten up to now.

Indeed, this weekend they face Hearts and they’ll want to continue said unbeaten run as well as confirming their title win at Tynecastle.

Brendan Rodgers, then, will be hoping that the international break hasn’t had an effect on his lads going into this fixture with so much riding on it and the men from Edinburgh being no push-overs for sure.

Celtic will need to be at their very best to secure their sixth league title in a row, then, and here’s the side our landlord reckons will do the business this weekend…

GK: CRAIG GORDON

The Scotland number one will be returning a happy man after his side nicked a 1-0 win against Slovenia to keep their World Cup dreams alive.

Hopefully he can continue to play as well as he has been against his former club Hearts.

RB: MIKAEL LUSTIG

Lustig has become the first choice right-back at Celtic and it’s easy to see why with a number of solid performances.

He’s fresh off of a 3-2 victory over European Champions Portugal and hopefully that can be the boost that both he and Celtic need for this tough fixture.

CB: DEDRYCK BOYATA

Boyata has been away on international duty with Belgium where his side were only able to get two draws.

It was against quite tough opposition, though, so the experience should do the young defender good.

CB: ERIK SVIATCHENKO

The standout star for Celtic in defence this season, Sviatchenko has been a rock at the back and has been vital in the season Celtic have had thus far.

The Dane needs to ensure he keeps that up and continues to help his side to success.

LB: KIERAN TIERNEY

The highly regarded young left-back has been simply superb thus far this season and despite his injuries has been very reliable.

He can cause Hearts trouble going forward and by denying them any opportunities.

CDM: NIR BITTON

Bitton is a very underrated player in football let alone at Celtic.

The Israeli international has been superb in the heart of the Bhoys’ midfield this season. He will need to ensure he keeps that up going into this stage of the season to ensure he can help his side to an unbeaten campaign.

CDM: SCOTT BROWN

Scott Brown had a superb display for Scotland over the weekend, and Mr. Celtic himself must be loving the fact that his side are cruising towards an unbeaten season.

The club’s captain will however know not to be complacent and will help guide his lads to victory against Hearts.

RAM: SCOTT SINCLAIR

Sinclair just loves to play under Brendan Rodgers, he’s simply been at his career best at Celtic and is when he plays for the Northern Irish gaffer.

He’s taken the Scottish Premiership by storm and has left teams for dead along the way. This game against Hearts will be no different for the once Chelsea man. He’s got a great winning mentality and an eye for goal which will be crucial in these final few games of the season.

CAM: STUART ARMSTRONG

If it wasn’t for the stand out display of Moussa Dembele then this lad would probably have received player of the year at Celtic!

The former Dundee United man has been an absolute beast for his club this year. At 24-years-old he still has room to progress too, Celtic will struggle to keep him at the club this summer, that’s for sure!

LAM: JAMES FORREST

Forrest has had his critics in recent seasons for not performing under previous managers but whatever it is that Rodgers has done differently, it’s worked!

The winger has been superb, in this fixture he can cause Hearts a whole world of trouble.

ST: MOUSSA DEMBELE

What can be said about this lad that hasn’t already been mentioned?

Not a lot really, he’s a class act and he is a very much so wanted man. He will be the signing of the summer for Celtic if they manage to keep him for another season. He’s torn the top flight apart and just keeps scoring and making goals out of nothing. Its scary to think he’s still only 20-years-old.
