4-2-3-1: The predicted West Ham XI Bilic will field to play West Brom on Saturday

Our landlord here at the Transfer Tavern has been very impressed by the way that West Ham have managed to turn their season around and now look to be pushing for a space in the Europa League next season!

With that being said, the team they face this weekend – West Brom – have also shocked even our landlord here at the Tavern with how well they’ve done this year and they are currently also battling it out to try and obtain a spot in the competition.

This game could be massive should the Hammers come away victorious, and after their recent displays it would be easy to see them achieve just that.

Since the dropping of Dimitri Payet and the eventual departure of him from the club, they have been superb and played much better football.

Our landlord believes, then, that if Slaven Bilic is able to field a fully fit team and in particular the players in this article, then they will get all three points…

GK: DARREN RANDOLPH

He’s well and truly cemented his place at the Hammers’ number 1!

He came in after a number of bad performances from the then number 1 Adrian. No change needed here!

RB: CHEIKHOU KOUYATE

Kouyate returned from a relatively successful AFCON with Senegal and featured for the Hammers last time out against Southampton. But surprisingly, due to injuries, found himself at right-back!

Although Byram may be fit for the West Brom game, Kouyate played superbly and could well play there again this weekend.

CB: JOSE FONTE

The former Southampton captain had a debut to forget with his side conceding four and personally giving away a penalty against Manchester City.  However in his last game against his former club, he looked solid and reliable.

The experienced Portuguese defender could be a key player in his club’s bid for European football.

CB: WINSTON REID

The guy breathes West Ham, he’s been a great servant to the club during his five years with them so far.

He has been reliable and solid for the Hammers this season. He and Fonte could forge a brilliant partnership for the remainder of the year.

LB: AARON CRESSWELL

The left-back has had his critics this season, and since returning from injury earlier this season he hasn’t quite been as consistent as he was last season.

However he is still the best left-back the club has and he will remain in the side for now.

CDM: MARK NOBLE

The West Ham captain has been back to his best in recent games and proven to be vital in the middle of the park for his beloved Hammers!

Noble will have to keep up his high level of performance in order to keep his place with there being a lot of competition in the middle of the park at the London Stadium.

CDM: PEDRO OBIANG

Easily one of, if not the best player that West Ham have had this season! The Spanish 24-year-old has been an absolute revelation in the heart of the Hammers midfield. His link up play is key for his side and he will be a regular for years to come for Bilic’s men.

RAM: MICHAIL ANTONIO

Along with Obiang, Antonio has been a stand out star for the Hammers this season so far.

The midfielder has played pretty much every position other than in goal for West Ham this season! Not only that but he’s been superb in every position he has played in. Even when his side weren’t doing so well he played his heart out for the team and gave it his all, all the time.

CAM: MANUEL LANZINI

The little Argentine wizard has been superb since arriving in England, initially on loan from the Middle East to West Ham before making it permanent last January.

He’s not always started every game this season but when he’s been on the pitch he has made a big impact and also knows where the goal is too!

LAM: ROBERT SNODGRASS

The former Hull City midfielder looked right at home in his first start for the Hammers against Southampton last weekend, and now he will have to keep that up in order to keep Feghouli out of the team.

ST: ANDY CARROLL

The big Geordie has been an absolute revelation since coming back from injury at the start of 2017!

He just can’t stop scoring, much to the delight of the West Ham faithful here at the Tavern and they’ll be hoping that he can keep fit and keep the goals flowing.
