Manchester United are struggling in the Premier League and don’t their fans here in the Transfer Tavern know about it.

The Reds supporters here in the pub are growing increasingly concerned about their league form after a dismal 4-0 away thrashing at Chelsea on Sunday.

The Blues completely outfought their opponents and if the Red Devils want to be anywhere near the top four come the end of the season, they’re going to have to seriously improve – and fast.

Other teams are beginning to pull away and United very much risk being left behind if they can’t string together some results in the very near future.

Standing in their way next in the Premier League is Burnley, who will very much be buoyed after a solid win over Everton last weekend.

But the landlord in here is predicting a Mourinho win and if we’re being honest, we believe him too.

So with that in mind, here’s our United XI that will annihilate the Clarets on Saturday…

GK – David De Gea

Despite the heavy defeat to Chelsea, there was very little David De Gea could have done about the goals.

He very much remains United’s number one and he’ll start on Saturday.

RB – Antonio Valencia

Ecuadorian winger turned right-back Antonio Valencia has really forced his way back into the first-team fold under Jose Mourinho.

He offers the reds pace, physicality and directness on that right-hand flank and he’ll be looking to attack the Claret’s full-backs at every possibility.

CB – Chris Smalling

Chris Smalling didn’t have the most comfortable of afternoon’s against the Blues and he’ll be looking to do much better against a Burnley side that is going well in the league right now.

It’s most likely going to be a physical affair and Smalling should be ready for the rough-and-tumble that the likes of Vokes provides Burnley going forward.

CB – Daley Blind

Daley Blind would normally have been dropped for the next game after his poor performance against Antonio Conte’s men but United are really struggling for senior defenders that are fully fit right now.

Both Bailly and Jones are long-term absentees which leaves youngsters as the only alternative option. Whilst he had a bad game, Blind is the best United have.

LB – Marcos Rojo

Marcos Rojo could be back in contention for a first-team berth after Eric Bailly suffered cruciate ligament damage in the loss against Chelsea, which took the game to another low for Mourinho.

Rojo has really divided opinion during his time at the club and he’ll have to really impress to get supporters on his side.

DM – Michael Carrick

It’s clear United need to be doing something a little different after the mauling at the Bridge and a decent shout might be bringing Michael Carrick back into the first-team.

The Englishman has experienced plenty of ups and downs throughout his United career and he’ll know what it takes to put things right again.

DM – Ander Herrera

Ander Hererra has been one of United’s standout performers this season but against Chelsea, it just didn’t happen for him in the slightest.

He shouldn’t get downbeat, though. There are other players in this United set-up that need to be pulling their weight far more than the Spaniard.

RW – Marcus Rashford

Rashford has been a little quieter than usual in United’s last couple of games but people really need to remember – he’s still only 18-years-old.

Whilst he has been superb so far, he’s come from real obscurity and needs time to really discover the sort of player he is. United’s first-team regulars should be the ones stepping up, not the teenagers.

CAM – Paul Pogba

If there was a game that Paul Pogba really needs to shine in, it’s this one.

Once again, he was poor against Chelsea and that wave of doubt is only going to build if he doesn’t begin to turn his season around. He should have more than enough quality to help his side to victory over Sean Dyche’s men.

LW – Anthony Martial

Jesse Lingard is having a bit of a tough time of it recently and we think Anthony Martial should come back into the first team for the game against the Clarets.

He’s not a Mourinho signing which might work against him, but United need something different and we think the former Monaco man will have enough to hurt Burnley going forward.

ST – Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan has been extremely quiet in the past couple of games, and he’s another player who needs to start stepping up his game if United are going to succeed.

He’s got the quality needed to take United forward this season, but at times his decision-making has been poor.

The game against Burnley will give him the chance to prove to supporters why he’s at the club.
