We here at the Transfer Tavern know all too well that if results aren’t going your way come October/ November there is a very good chance you could well see yourself without a job.
It’s the tough game of football and sometimes its the way the cookie crumbles.
With that being said, we are focusing on Swansea City, and in particular, the under pressure Francesco Guidolin.
The Italian boss was a strange replacement when the club sacked Gary Monk last term in what angered many of fans.
He led the side to safety last season but the club that were on the brink of Europe just a couple of years ago.
With that in mind, it looks like he could be on the way out at the Liberty Stadium either by force or by choice after a tough start.
It seems like only a matter of time for his tenure to come to an abrupt end.
With that here are FOUR potential options to replace Guidolin at Swansea City.
Ryan Giggs
This was seen like an obvious choice being that he is Welsh and is looking to become a number one after his spell as Manchester United number two under van Gaal.
The inexperience as a first-team manager could lead the club to look for a more experienced man to fill the role but this would be the ideal team for Ryan Giggs to begin his career as a manager.
Roberto Mancini
The Italian was very successful in his last stint in the Premier League with Manchester City, in his tenure there he even claimed the title.
He was sacked in what many believed was bizarre circumstances after failing to bring the Champions League title to the blue half of Manchester.
Mancini would offer the experience needed to guide the team up the division.
Also, after recently leaving Internazionale, he is a free agent and would be a big statement of intent from the club.
Remi Garde
The French manager had a brilliant reputation after his time as a manager in his native France, he tarnished that a little when he came to England with Aston Villa.
However, at the time the club didn’t give him the full backing in terms of signings and his reign was rather a damp squib.
With the right guidance given to him and sufficient backing, the former Lyon boss could well bring the success he had previously had in Ligue 1.
Steve Bruce
The manager who led Hull City to the Premier League departed after a disagreement with the club’s transfer policies and also after the uncertainty about the future of the club.
However, he’s a manager of great experience and has managed a handful of sides in the top division, with a respectable reputation in the Premier League.
A decent option to steady the ship.
