Here at the Tavern our landlord speaks to many football fans who like to talk about their clubs and January brings in more gossip from across the football world than any other month.
It just happens that we have some Tottenham fans in the tavern talking about who they would like to sign in January, with speculation having linked Saido Berahino to White Hart Lane once more.
Spurs are fourth in the Premier League table and are looking to recruit an additional forward to either play along side or back up Harry Kane.
Securing a Champions League spot is the priority but the right addition could lead them onto a late Premier League title charge- and our resident Spurs fans have implied that someone other than Berahino could be the answer for Tottenham.
Here is a list of FIVE players they came up with, who could be alternatives to Berahino in this months transfer window.
Hit Berahino below to see FIVE other forwards Tottenham could sign!

Sadio Mane

Southampton striker Mane fits the bill, he is young, quick and full of skill and seems a little unmotivated at Southampton, with many stating this is because he wants to move clubs.
He would probably cost around the same figure as Berahino but would hit the ground running, as he has been playing regular football- unlike the West Brom forward.
He has scored 7 goals for The Saints in 27 games but would relish playing in the exciting young Spurs side.
Loic Remy

Rumours have it that Chelsea are looking for another forward to play understudy to Diego Costa, leaving Remy some what in the wilderness.
The forward has got plenty of ability and in his fourteen appearances he has scored three goals bearing in mind most of them are late substitute appearances.
He could certainly score goals and would be prepared to move across London to White Hart Lane.
Odion Ighalo

The 26 year old Watford forward has scored 13 goals this season putting third in the scoring charts behind, Romelu Lukaku and Jamie Vardy.
Everyone though he and Watford would struggle to get goals in the top flight but like Vardy he is proving everyone wrong.
Quick and powerful and very good in the air has got many clubs chasing the exciting, player from Nigeria, might well get him for less than over valued Berahino.
Andre Gray

Just a few years ago Gray was playing at Non League Hinckley United, he is know playing for Burnley in The Championship, extremely quick and has the talent to make it all the way to the top.
He has been tipped even to play for England by some pundits, a real viable alternative to West Brom’s sulking forward.
Gray has scored 16 goals for Burnley as they push for an immediate return to the Premier League.
Sebastian Haller

FC Utrecht striker Haller has scored eleven goals in 16 matches and is highly rated by the Dutch side, he has drawn interest from some Spanish and Italian sides, but no formal offers have yet been made.
The French forward ahs also been linked with Premier League strugglers Sunderland ha has pace and would adapt well to the fast paced action of English top flight football.
He would cost half of Berahino fee and would be just as deadly in front of goal.
