Tottenham saw their faint hopes of a top four finish go out yesterday, with a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Manchester City.
The home form has been their downfall this season, and despite the brilliance of Harry Kane for much of the season, Mauricio Pochettino will have to settle for Europa League football during his first season in charge of the north London giants.
There was a period when it seemed Spurs looked good value for that final fourth spot, whilst they came close to silverware with a run that saw them reach the final of the Capital One Cup.
Overall it has been a season of progress for Pochettino and his young side, and there have been no shortage of excellent goals along the way.
Here we take a look back at five of the best from 2014-15.

Christian Eriksen v Sheffield United (2nd)
A second leg away to Sheffield United looked a tough fixture on paper, with the conditions on the night doing little to help Tottenham’s goal of reaching the Capital One Cup final.
But two moments of quality from Christian Eriksen ensured Pochettino’s side went on to face Chelsea at Wembley – both of which make the top five.
With the through ball running away from him, everyone expected the Dane to put his laces through the ball and smash it at goal. Instead, he casually clipped the ball across the ground into the bottom corner.
Alongisde Harry Kane, there is no doubt Eriksen is very much one of Tottenham’s most important players – with moments of class like this proving so.
Christian Eriksen v Sheffield United (1st)
Yet his first goal that night was even better.
In less than two years at Spurs, it could be argued Eriksen has established himself as the best free kick taker in the country – with this strike being the pick of the bunch during his time in England.
Anybody who may need convincing need only to look at his effort. From a tight angle, the Dane somehow whipped the ball across the goalkeeper and into the very top corner.

Erik Lamela v Asteras
It may have only come in a Europa League group game against minnows Asteras, but Erik Lamela produced one of the best rabona goals you are likely to see.
The Argentine hit the ball first time from the edge of the box after it broke loose with a stunning piece of skill.
It flew into the corner beyond the stranded goalkeeper, and sealed a comfortable 5-1 win for Tottenham.
Sadly for Tottenham fans, they have not seen moments like this enough from their club record signing.
Harry Kane v Arsenal (2nd)
It has been a season to remember for Harry Kane, with perhaps his most important contribution coming in the north London derby victory over Arsenal.
Kane was on target twice against the old enemy, but it was this bullet header with three minutes remaining that will go down as perhaps the most memorable moment of Tottenham’s season.
England’s newest international has shown he is capable of scoring all kinds of goals this season, but this header was an effort that the country’s most famous number 9 of modern times – Alan Shearer – would have been delighted with.

Harry Kane v Chelsea (1st)
In a season where Kane has managed more than 30 goals in all competitions, he has proven he can do it against the big sides crucially.
Liverpool, Arsenal, and of course Chelsea have all been caught out by Tottenham’s local hero, with Jose Mourinho’s newly crowned champions simply unable to live with him in a fixture at White Hart Lane on New Years Day.
Kane ran Chelsea ragged as Tottenham ran out 5-3 winners in a thrilling game.
He was on target twice that day, but it was his opening goal that really caught the eye.
Dribbling past Ivanovic and Oscar, Kane let fly with a right footed shot from the edge of the box which flew past Courtois and into the bottom corner. Very much a goal from nowhere, it inspired Spurs to produce one of the best performances of any Premier League side this season.
