With the Euros reaching their climax this week, thoughts in the Football Transfer Tavern are once again beginning to turn to the Premier League and more importantly, the transfer market.
As often managers do, Jurgen Klopp is likely to look to his homeland this transfer window, looking to recruit talent from the Bundesliga.
With both Firmino and Emre Can arriving from the German league, arguably two of Liverpool’s best players last season, there is much for fans to be excited about.
Gerard Houllier had a preference for French players, Benitez for Spanish, and it is no different for Klopp who has already signed Loris Karius, the £4.7 million goalkeeper from his former club Mainz.
With the Daily Star, reporting that Liverpool are the most attractive Premier League destination for Bundesliga players, who else might we see join Klopp at Anfield this summer?
Neven Subotic
Serbian international, Neven Subotic has been at Borussia Dortmund since 2008, racking up over 250 appearances for the club, making Jurgen Klopp more than familiar with him.
However, having only made 11 appearances in all competitions last season, the centre back is likely to be available this summer.
With Kolo Toure released, it is likely Klopp would be keen for a reunion with the 27-year-old, though he will have to act fast with Arsenal credited with an interest.

Klopp will be well aware of this Schalke youngster. Said to be one of the brightest talents in German football, having made the Germany World Cup 30 man provisional squad in 2014, now at just 21 years of age, Goretzka would be a real coup.
The only real worry is that the player spent a lot of last season injured, and actually missed out of the 2014 World Cup because of injury also. If there is a recurring problem there, it is something Klopp would want to consider carefully before spending what is likely to be a significant figure.
Andre Schurrle
Schurrle was harshly treated by Chelsea, but certainly showed his talent at times.
He’s pacey, he can skip past players, and is able to grab a share of the goals each season having scored 11 in 28 appearances for Wolfsburg last campaign.
Looking Klopp’s options, other than Jordan Ibe, and perhaps some might include Lallana, the squad has lacked out-and-out wingers since the departure of Sterling, a void the German international would certainly be able to fill.
However, costing Wolfsburg £24 million, Klopp may deem the 2014 World Cup winner too costly.
Omer Toprak
Recently linked with Borussia Dortmund, Omer Toprak is a centre back who currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen.
With a €12m release clause for 2017, this summer presents the last opportunity for the German side to negotiate the transfer fee, so he is likely to be available.
A Turkish international, he is well experienced with 129 appearances for Leverkusen, and would make a great replacement for either Kolo Toure or Martin Skrtel, if either decide to leave Liverpool this summer.
Mario Gotze
Last, but certainly not least, Mario Gotze will always be on Jurgen Klopp’s radar, the Bayern Munich playmaker was rumoured by the Express to be scouted by Liverpool before Euro 2016.
The German international is yet to make is mark on this summer’s European Championship, but Jurgen Klopp will be dreaming of a midfield 3, lining up behind Daniel Sturridge, of Coutinho, Firmino and Gotze.
I don’t think any Premier League defenders would fancy playing against them next season, and with that kind of midfield service, perhaps even Ballotelli might be able to grab a few goals!
