5 dream signings West Ham could make this summer

It is a great time to be a West Ham fan right now, at least that’s what the resident Hammers in the Transfer Tavern keep informing us.

But the evidence is there for all to see, the Hammers are currently in seventh place in the Premier League and European football next season looks like a real possibility, some are still dreaming of the Champions League!

Also, with a big move to the Olympic Stadium next campaign, the club appear to have a bright future ahead of them and they are currently being linked with some pretty big names as they look to establish themselves as a real force in the Premier League.

With a club legend in Slaven Bilic in charge and with several in-form players that are attracting interest from all around Europe, many Hammers fans are starting to dream of players that they could sign in the summer.

Indeed, they have been linked with some pretty big names so far and Hammers fans here are convinced that a strong ending to the league campaign, maybe coupled with a dream FA Cup win in May, can lure the big names to the club next season.

John Terry

This one has been talked about for a few weeks now but fans of the East London club are now starting to believe that the former England captain could be gracing the Olympic Stadium next season.

It would appear unthinkable that the Chelsea captain, who has featured 700 times for them, could swap them for their London rivals but that just shows how far the Hammers are progressing that this move is a real possibility, and what a signing this would be!

Edin Dzeko

Dzeko

The Hammers already have some top firepower but could Dzeko be set for a Premier League return. The Bosnian who spent five years with Manchester City has become disillusioned with life in Serie A with Roma and could be set for a quick return to England.

Dzeko’s record of 72 goals in 189 appearances at the Etihad Stadium is certainly not to be sniffed at and he could be a real capture for them.

Michy Batshuayi

22-year-old Belgian striker Batshuayi is being scouted by the Hammers, amongst other clubs. Currently with Ligue 1 outfit Marseille, the Hammers face competition from London rivals Tottenham who appear ready to bid £25 million to secure his services.

This would be another massive signal of intent were the Hammers to beat Spurs to his signature.

Daniel Sturridge

The Hammers have twice been linked with a move for the Liverpool and England striker in recent times.

All the talk is that Sturridge would be prolific for a club such as West Ham, and although there is a fantastic chance of that being true, his injury problems are always something that prospective buyers are going to be looking at.

Regular injuries have restricted him to just 61 league appearances in four seasons at Anfield but if he could put those behind him he would be a fantastic coup.

Rafa Silva

Rafa Silva is not a name that will slip off the tongue of football fans in England but the 22-year-old Portuguese midfielder is building up quite a reputation for himself.

Indeed, if stories are to be believed, he has recently been subject of a £15.5 million bid from Manchester United and this would again be seen as a massive signal of intent and progression should the Hammers manage to pull this one off.
