Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are a split bunch at the moment, in regards to their stance on long-term manager Arsene Wenger, but all the Gooners in the bar are united by their frustrations this season.
A poor run of form has seen them concede top spot in the Premier League and they now sit eight points behind leaders Leicester City, who could extend that advantage to 11 points on Monday evening. As such, it seems like it’s another year when the league crown will slip through their grasps.
With Pep Guardiola at Manchester City and Jurgen Klopp set for his first full season as manager, as well as Chelsea and Manchester United both set to spend heavily, Arsenal face a major threat to their top-four status next season- and that’s without including the likes of Leicester, West Ham and rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
As such, the Gooners surrounding the entrance are adamant that money needs to be splashed- so they’ve been happy to see their side linked with a £50m swoop for Juventus forward Alvaro Morata.
That might not be enough to compete though, so the section of supporters have identified five more players they believe could be signed.
Hit Morata below to see FIVE players who could follow him to Arsenal this summer!

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The Gabonese forward has set alight to the Bundesliga this season and has established himself as one of the most coveted strikers in world football. As such, plenty of clubs are eyeing his signature and Arsenal are one of those involved in the chase.
Arsenal would likely have to break their transfer record to land the player from Borussia Dortmund but they could deem it worthy, with Aubameyang having scored 22 goals in the league alone this season- and the 26-year-old is still to enter the prime years of his career.
Granit Xhaka

Another Bundesliga talent eyed by Arsenal is combative midfielder Granit Xhaka, who’s attracted vast interest from the Premier League. Currently tied to Borussia Monchengladbach, he could easily be lured by one of Europe’s big guns.
With Arsenal set to lose Mathieu Flamini, Tomas Rosicky and Mikel Arteta upon the expiration of their contracts this summer, the Gunners need midfield recruits. As Manchester City and Liverpool are also eying the Swiss international, Arsene Wenger would once again have to break the bank.
Ilkay Gundogan

Quite possibly the easiest target for Arsenal to secure this summer is Ilkay Gundogan, with it highly-cited that Borussia Dortmund will let the German international leave in the close season. However, Arsenal will still have plenty of competition.
For the reasons mentioned previously, Arsenal need midfielders and the experienced addition of Gundogan could be crucial. Alongside, or instead of, Francis Coquelin, the strength in depth Arsenal would boast with Gundogan in their side is staggering.
Jese Rodriguez

With Real Madrid looking for an overhaul this summer, Arsenal could make their move for long-term target Jese Rodriguez and the need for a quality natural right-sided winger is evident, with Arsenal mainly playing players out of position in this area.
The Spaniard has experience with playing alongside some of the best in the world and his direct approach could provide Arsenal with a three-pronged attacking outlet, with Alexis Sanchez on the left and Mesut Ozil in the centre, a trio no defender would like to come up against.
Isco

Sticking with the Real Madrid theme, it’s also reported that Isco will be allowed to leave this summer and many feel he would be the perfect long-term replacement to an ageing Santi Cazorla. With Arsenal of course looking for midfielders, it could be a match made in heaven.
Isco’s versatility would also be appealing as he’s capable of playing in a deep midfield role, further forward or on the flanks. That could work for Arsenal until Cazorla’s departure in a few years, before the Spanish international succeeded his compatriot in the centre.
